I love the idea of a Warrior strike. No more Wa/Mos rushing ahead and aggroing everything on the map. No more Wa/Mos screaming "Heal OMG teh n00b!" to the Monk after they run completely out of healing range. No more Wa/Mos thinking they are invulnerable because they have Mending. No more Wa/Mos leaving because they can't stand criticism.

So go on, go into a strike, hopefully this will make people see how a Warrior isn't necessary in a PUG. As things stand now, a Ranger can tank a lot better against casters than a Warrior anyway, so maybe people will realize that once there aren't warriors around anymore.

Warriors are the last target anyway so whats the problem? You're obviously just whining because your favorite class isn't as much better than all the other now. You still deal the same amount of damage and the additionnal elemental damage you will take due to the update is laughable at best.

If you can't adapt then you're the noob here.

Jeez, warrior are such a bunch of squishies. Poor babies only have 80-110 AL. Seeing as my elementalist only has 60 AL and goes down faster than Alesia when faced with eviscerate/executioners I don't really think anything is wrong here. It still takes an awful lot of firepower to break through that high AL, and my elemental spells are still reduced by about 50%.

Damage reduction was hardly an issue vs. spikes anyway. A spike dealing 70-80 damage isn't strongly mitigated by damage reduction. Small, repetetive, low damage attacks are most strongly affected by this. The only class that relies heavily on repetetive DPS attacks is... the warrior. So basically your overpowered defenses were nerfed while your damage was increased.

Hey, who took my cheese!

Edit: What's this trash about not being able to tank anymore? A warrior wearing platemail and a shield has 116 armor vs elemental without having to work in any other bonus. Other character tend to float around the 60-80 range. You still have more armor than everyone else, and you still have more defensive skills with which to improve that.

I think this is just one of those updates that are big at first, but will eventually blow over. It's like how nukers were "nerfed" when AI's intelligence was changed. It wasn't to screw over the player, it was to make it more realistic. Same here, why should a warrior have universal armor against every damage? And I do have a warrior and have since I got the game 13 months ago. I can understand if you've customized your armor sets based on having to purchase one piece for the absorption, but I really think this isn't that big of a deal.

This isn't so much a warrior issue, I signed because It puts more stress on the healers, who will now have to heal more, Causing there to be LESS monks, Who will get pissed off easier, because the warriors die faster, And rangers can't tank shit, and sins can't tank shit, so the only choice is for the necro's to tank...

And may God help us on that day...

Because I'm supposed to fight decently, not drop over like a dead dog... And because my monk is gonna have to heal more, which can piss monks off...

If the point is to make the game realistic, why dont change the mobs so all the casters kite. Thats a B.S. excuse for the AI change. :P

This is nothing like AI buff. That ONLY affected eles in PvE. This affects wars across every battle in GW.

A warrior has to have time to build his adrenaline to do any real dmg. Over half of every classes skills are warrior shut down. They are melee class so kiting is very effective. After this buff my warrior died in less than 10 seconds of focused fire.

Everyone that is joking and having fun about this don't. Wars have been reduced to the bottom of the totem poll. That means your fav class just moved up. Just a matter of time before the whining machines are going and that class gets completely nerfed too.

You still have more armor than all the other classes ... which means that you are still the best "tank". Any half decent monk and even sucky ones should have no problem dealing with that ridiculously small added damage.

And my Assassin dies in less than 3 seconds of focused fire, so what's your point?

First off I have a MONK and yes I know some warriors do run ahead in groups and are stupid and aggro everything. But you are stero typing all warriors when you say that. Second I also have a ranger and I would never tank with my ranger, for a # of reasons....BOW it used to shot from DISTANCE not to tank and also I have 10 less armor than a warrior. So only a NOOB like you would tank with a ranger.. & Third I have a warrior also and I know that I can do a heck of alot more dmg than somethings can....lets see if you can go into FOW with out a warrior I have seen very very few ppl do it and they do not make very far and I know for a fact they do not clean out every little thing out down there. Just like UW...what the monks fight the smites....ooooh big deal. Warriors are by far very useful in this game.

Cuz I know you are going to say this.....

Why would I run a ranger with a sword when swords (melee attacks) are made for warriors....because of adrenline and strengh = armor pen

Except monk, you are pretty much right. Necro and mesmers got a kick in the ass up the totem pole...

Warriors are SUPPOSED to tank! Assassins aren't. The whole warrior object is to get the focused fire off the monks, and squishies. now the warriors are spongy...
